Our Director, Professor Jacky Smith, Operations Manager, Lesley Howard and Deputy Director, Dr Alex Horsley make up the Senior Management Group (SMG); they are responsible for the appraisal of all research applications for support from our facility.  Collectively, our SMG members have an extensive range of experience and knowledge to ensure its competence to rigorously assess study proposals. 

 

In order to access our facility for study support, please complete the study adoption form and submit this with any supporting documents to lesley.howard@uhsm.nhs.uk.  Your application will be assessed and a decision emailed to you within 2 weeks from receipt of all completed forms.

 

As a facility we can also assist you with assessing feasibility, costs for grant applications and direct research costs for commercial studies using the NIHR costing template.
